Riftbound heads to the Sydney Showground for the next Regional Qualifier, marking one of Australia’s biggest TCG convention weekends.

With Unleashed entering the fold, new Legends, refined strategies, and uncharted battlefields set the stage for a full weekend of competition.

From May 15–17, 2026, Sydney will become the focal point of Riftbound. Competitors from across the region will compete in the Main Event, along with additional players and creators participating in the weekend.

Will you be chasing a Best-Of finish, battling through the Main Event, or diving into side events and drafting Unleashed? Whether you’re competing, playing in side events, or just looking to connect with the community, there’s something here for you.

What is on the Line? 

Top 32 players in the Main Event will earn a share of the $25,000 prize pool, with $6,000 awarded to first place. Beyond prizing, the Top 64 will lock in invitations to an upcoming Regional Championship and continue their path toward the first-ever Riftbound World Championship.

This is where the smallest moments decide everything. One Ride the Wind. The correctly timed Hard Bargain. Or one fluffy cat.

Best-Of Legends Prizing 

Sydney will be the first Regional Qualifier to feature a full collection of 40 Best-Of Legends spanning Origins, Proving Grounds, Spiritforged, and Unleashed. Each Champion will have one Best-Of Legend awarded to the highest-placing competitor piloting that Champion. These holographic metal Legend cards are tournament legal and mark a standout performance on the weekend no matter where the competitor finishes in the tournament.

As the first major event in the Unleashed meta, Sydney will test players’ ability to build, adapt, and read the field in real time. With no established playbook, success will favor those willing to take risks, challenge expectations, and find the lines others haven’t.
