Today marks an exciting milestone with the official release of Riftbound’s first new language expansion since launch: French Origins!
France has already built a passionate Riftbound community and has always had an avid fan base for other Riot games, and we can't wait to see what the French Riftbound community will become. To celebrate this launch, yesterday we hosted an exclusive event with creators and press that have helped grow the game ahead of today’s launch, to share more about what exciting moments are in store for French Riftbound this year.
As was shared several months ago, we have laid out a release cadence for French Riftbound which sees them reach set parity with English and Chinese with the release of Radiance, Riftbound’s fifth set.
We want to do more than simply launch the product,. Alongside our partners at UVS games, we’ve worked to build an exciting calendar of events exclusive for French Riftbound players to look forward to this year, including a national competitive tournament!
We are excited to announce Le Rift Tour, a national tournament series for the French community, taking place across sixteen different French LGS across the country over the coming months, before culminating at live finals at Paris Games Week. Read more about it in today’s article announcing the series and the launch of the Riftbound Showdown Series for 3rd-party tournament organizers, pathing their competitions into Riftbound’s larger competitive Organized Play structure. But that’s not all, in addition to those events, we have a number of awesome events that Riftbound and UVS will be at over the course of this year, starting with this weekend’s 95 Kings of Fields event in Paris, running May 29-31!

| This twelve-day outdoor festival takes place in the town of Parthenay. We’re excited to participate and offer demos and provide an area for free play for those Riftbounders who bring their decks with them. | ||

We’ll have a booth and play area at this event, along with a UVS shop, and a free play for folks who want to battle between their EVO activities. We’re also looking to potentially run a tournament as part of this event, but those plans are still to be confirmed. | ||
